Flyway Journal of Writing and Environment

Journal of Writing and Environment. Quinceañera preparations at 19th and Nicholson. Their hands fold and knead their own knees like masa harina batter before the tamale. The Invention of Time. And that other wheel waxing, waning, full, whose nightly pull marks high tide, ebb tide, bloodtide as it cycles. While doing trail maintenance at the Aransas Wildlife Refuge, J and I come upon a momma alligator lying half in, half out of a watering hole. Rapture of the Deep. I was in his arms. Poetry by C.
